NORWALK — Each of Amanda Dean’s four sons stood for her at the sentencing for the man who killed her, and their collective loss could not have been more evident.
Joshua Dean, Amanda’s oldest son, who remembers when his mother lived with Fred at the Wells Road property in Collins where she was killed. He went there sometimes, he said, to protect his mother from him, and sometime himself.
“He treated not only my mom bad, and me bad,” Josh said. “I wish I could say I was sad on this day. I’m not. I’m angry.”
His mother, Joshua said, was the person he took all his troubles to, all his concerns.
