SANDUSKY — In a significant First Amendment decision, Ohio’s Sixth District Court of Appeals reversed the convictions of Ashli Ford, vacating four felony counts of intimidation against her. The appellate court ruled that Ford’s controversial online rhetoric did not constitute a “true threat,” but was instead political hyperbole protected by free speech guarantees.
