SANDUSKY — Although it was never proven true, attorney Peter Pattakos’ most famous client once accused him of “drunk emailing” her. What is undeniable, however, is that he has completely drunk the Kool-Aid.
Since podcaster Ashli Ford’s mortgage fraud trial ended with a hung jury two months ago, Pattakos has spent a lot more time attempting to shape views in the court of public opinion—the venue where Ford seeks to reign supreme.
In what has clearly been a planned, coordinated Facebook campaign aimed at blunting the impact of Ford’s alleged one-woman crime spree, Pattakos’ law firm has posted 2,500-word narratives about the trial, amplifying her latest conspiratorial theories. In the comment sections, Pattakos continues beating the drum just as he did at trial—but without any courtroom boundaries of truth, relevance, or cross-examination. On social media, there are no rules.
