SANDUSKY — Will she, or won’t she?

Ashli Ford could be sentenced to serve 12 years in prison when she faces the judge who convicted her on four counts of intimidation. She also could be sentenced to serve community control and never see a day behind bars.

Who are you — What gets asked during a pre-sentence investigation?

Ford’s demeanor at her July 16 sentencing hearing in Erie County Common Pleas Court could be a determining factor whether she gets incarcerated or avoids prison.

If Ford fails to show remorse or fails to acknowledge her crimes the judge who convicted her could hand down the maximum sentence — three years on each count — and require the terms be served consecutively.

Ford also could be fined $40,000.

Humbled or doubling down?

It’s unknown if Ford intends to apologize to her victims or accept responsibility for the convictions. Neither Ford, nor her attorney, Peter Pattakos, responded to written inquiries asking if Ford has regrets.
