SANDUSKY — The online harassment campaign targeting victims of convicted felon Ashli Ford escalated this week after her mentor promoted an AI-generated caricature mocking one of them.

Ford doubled down with a two-part “expose” on Facebook on Saturday and Sunday going after members of Erie County Judge Beverly McGookey’s family, accusing them of wrongdoing based on a lawsuit that was dismissed in 2025. Ford’s posts included screenshots of court records with unsubstantiated allegations highlighted in green, offering no explanation or context. The allegations and counter allegations made in the lawsuit were settled by agreement, according to court records.
