Attorney General Yost wins 1st WOAT award
Blatant disregard of Ohio's Public Records Act (ORC 149.43) makes Dave this year's 'Worst Of All Time'
SANDUSKY — We didn’t wait for a committee. We didn’t wait for a vote. Today, StayTunedSandusky.com is officially naming Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost as the inaugural recipient of the annual WOAT Award (Worst Of All Time) for Public Records Abuse.
Why now? Because while Yost’s website is plastered with the slogan “True Transparency,” his actual record in the Amanda Dean case — and too many other cases —is one of total, deliberate concealment.
2026 WOAT citation
Yost earns this “honor” for the following:
Weaponizing the CLIER Exception: Holding onto the Dean investigative files months after a conviction was secured and all legal “secrecy” justifications expired.
Protecting the ‘charade’: Keeping the evidence of Sheriff Corbin’s five-year failure to investigate the homicide of Amanda Dean hidden from the taxpayers.
Hypocrisy in Action: Running a “Transparency” campaign while actively fighting in court to keep his own office’s communications in a “black box.”

Ask a FOIA attorney. Not Beth.
I don't disagree with you but writing about it won't change anything. File a Complaint for Mandamus at the Supreme Court of Ohio and name Yost, Sitterly, Corbin, and Judges Conrad and Weissenberger..in short everybody who has any records.
