SANDUSKY — Although she and her supporters repeatedly claim Ashli Ford was “acquitted” and hailed the end of her trial in May as “total vindication,” nine out of 12 jurors wanted to convict Ford in her fraud case.
Erie County Prosecutor Kevin Baxter confirmed that assertion—included in a report over the weekend published by Stay Tuned Sandusky—on Monday. The story cited a source who spoke with one of the jurors. The juror told them that all but three jurors were ready to convict Ford, but the jury foreman and other jurors were browbeaten by the three jurors who were against conviction, the source said.

“The information obtained by the Prosecutor Office is consistent with the split nine to 3 (vote to convict),” Baxter wrote on Monday, responding to an inquiry from a reporter.
He did not comment on the suggestion that jurors who wanted to convict were browbeaten, or if that might be considered improper or unlawful.
