SANDUSKY — Police are still investigating a bloody motel room that staff at the Super 8 motel discovered Wednesday morning but are not prepared to release any information about what’s been learned.
“We will be releasing information later today,” Sandusky police Chief Jared Oliver said.
Officers were dispatched to the Super 8 after employees discovered a large amount of blood in a room and in its bathroom. Oliver said this morning information still has to be confirmed before police will update the community.
The condition of the room sparked the investigation.
“Due to the suspicious nature of the circumstances, detectives responded and are investigating the incident,” Oliver said Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities remained at the Super 8, and Erie County Prosecutor Kevin Baxter and assistant Prosecutor Paulette Lilly also were there briefly, the Sandusky Register reported.
