BREAKING: Sherrod Brown to run for Senate in 2026
He announced his comeback effort in a Substack exclusive
Sherrod Brown intends to make a comeback in the U.S. Senate next year, announcing he will be a candidate for the senate seat now held by former lieutenant governor Jon Husted.
“I’m announcing this morning that I am again running for the U.S. Senate,” Brown told the Parnas Perspective substack this morning.

Brown lost his re-election bid last year to Bernie Moreno, a Cleveland area businessman and auto dealer.
Husted has been a senator since January. He was appointed by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to fill the vacancy left after Sen. J.D. Vance was selected by President Donald Trump to be is vice presidential running mate.
