SANDUSKY — There were two historic and significant votes at the city commission meeting on Monday: the vote to fund construction of a $10.4 million recreation center; and the vote to buy City Hall.

City commission approved the acquisition of City Hall at 240 Columbus Ave. in a vote that ends a complicated, multi-year financial arrangement and secures the city’s home for the long-term. This vote — like the rec center vote — is a realization of yet another high-end goal for the leadership from commissioners Dennis Murray Jr. and Dick Brady.
