PORT CLINTON — First he stole private, intimate photos from her phone, then he groped her, according to prosecutors who convicted former Port Clinton fire Chief Kent Johnson in May 2025 on assault, intimidation and other charges.

After that he reassigned her, cut her hours and turned other fire department personnel against her.

He was sentenced to six months in prison, spent less than three months incarcerated and is still denying the harm he caused the community. During a deposition March 2, all Johnson could admit to was being a bad manager. Here is a clip from his deposition. He is being questioned by Subodh Chandra of the Chandra Law Firm in Cleveland.
