Federal judge sets 2027 trial date for Sheriff Corbin in Amanda Dean lawsuit
He will be forced to start answer questions he's long avoided, including why did he refuse to investigate Amanda Dean's murder
TOLEDO — For three years, Sheriff Todd Corbin has relied on silence and “limited apologies” to keep the ghost of Amanda Dean at bay. That silence just ended.
U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary has issued a federal Case Management Order that puts Corbin, his deputies, and the Huron County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) on a collision course with a federal jury.
The date is set: May 2027.
Blueprint for Accountability
This isn’t just a scheduling update. This order is the blueprint for how the truth about the 2017 “disappearance” of Amanda Dean will be dragged into the light.
