GIBSONBURG — A rookie police officer stabbed Wednesday by a homeless man remains in critical condition at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
Gibsonburg Police Officer Maria Kish, 25, has been on the force eight months.
“Her injuries are quite extensive,” Sandusky County Sheriff Chris Hilton said Thursday evening. “There was a lot of bleeding and it was a life-threatening situation.”
