SANDUSKY — At age 24, Markier Castile was as beloved as a young adult as he was growing up in Sandusky with his tight-knit family and the lifelong friends he bonded with at the former Nehemiah Center at Campbell School.
Castile, of Sandusky, was pronounced dead at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland Friday, six days after he was shot at a party on Eat Parish Street that started Saturday evening.
His mother’s grief was raw this morning when she made this post at Facebook pleading for people to come forward and help find her son’s killer. The other man shot on East Parish Street overbite Sunday, “Tubby” Herrin, is expected to survive his injuries, sources said.
Here is Kirsten Alexander, Markier Castile’s mother’s, message to the community asking for help.
“If you was a friend to my son Mark or Tubby don’t ever in yo bitch ass life send condolences or prayers if you was there and chose to turn your cheek and not do what’s right and help get a murderer off the streets. Is that what the world has come to that you muthafuckas to hood to even help someone you claim to love. I appreciate all the love but NOBODY seen ANYTHING and willing to stand up about it. My son is fucking dead and by the grace of God Tubby still fighting but you bitches and bitch ass niggas rather talk about what you seen in your group chats and to everybody else. If you REALLY love my son you would do the right thing…. Mark would have died for niggas that’s acting like they was Stevie wonder when it mattered….. THE LAST THING I WOULD EXPECT IS THAT MY SON GOT KILLED IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SANDUSKY BUT EVERYBODY EYES STOPPED WORKING…… not only is my son loved but Tubby is too, you can tell by all the post. The street was packed and 2 people was shot but NOBODY seen nothing…. I’m a die about mine Mark Castile LeAsia Donald, Aaliyah Donald.”
