Huron Schools staff-student interaction probe exonerates district employees
Sexual harassment, cyber bullying, peeping Tom photography allegations all dismissed
HURON — The Huron city school district has released a final investigative report regarding allegations of sexual harassment and professional misconduct, finding “insufficient evidence” to substantiate claims against high-level school administrators and staff.
The 25-page report, authored by Venice Solutions Group, effectively clears Director of Facilities Chad Carter, Principal Tim Lamb, and Athletic Director Matthew Ayers of legal wrongdoing. However, the findings also document a series of “dismissals” based on a lack of witness cooperation and a narrow definition of the District’s jurisdiction.
The investigation, which began in May 2025, focused heavily on anonymous allegations championed by local podcaster Ashli Ford. According to the investigator, the probe hit a “dead end” when Ford failed to provide identifying information for the “Jane and John Doe” victims she represented. While the District has touted the report as a total exoneration, the document admits that multiple witnesses and victims refused to participate in the process, citing a lack of trust in the District’s internal culture.
StayTunedSandusky.com is currently developing deep-dive coverage into the report’s most startling revelations—including the dismissal of a 2,000-page document cache deemed “outside the scope” of the investigation. The report also highlights a significant 2019 failure regarding a former coach, where serious allegations of inappropriate touching were met only with a “professional behavior memo” rather than a formal investigation.
Starting today, STS will begin publishing an exclusive four-part series titled “GIRLS DON’T MATTER,” dismantling the report’s findings. We will explore the “Ashli Ford Firewall,” the “Vice Mayor Loophole” involving William Biddlecomb, and the systemic “scope” used to protect those in power.
Check back throughout the weekend as we go beyond the Executive Summary to report the findings.
