Investigation of Huron cop accused of misconduct drags on
School Resource Officer pulled from schools beat after allegations in May
HURON — A “cone of silence” has descended over the investigation into former School Resource Officer Keith Lobsinger, as both the Huron and Oregon Police Departments continue to ignore public records requests.
Lobsinger was removed from Huron Schools last year after the school board received disturbing complaints, according to a report filed by an investigator hired by the school board. These included allegations that he allowed female students to film TikTok dances in his office and reportedly took “creepy” videos of girls in shorts at Cedar Point.
For the school district’s outside investigator, David Brode, the trail went cold after he talked with Huron Police Chief Terry Graham. Brode wrote in his report that the chief assured him Lobsinger would not be returning as an SRO because of a separate “administrative investigation” being handled by Oregon Police.
