Jennifer Ashburn declared winner in Sandusky school board race
Elections board conducted recounts on Wednesday in two races in which the margins were razor thin
SANDUSKY — The Erie County Elections Board on Wednesday completed a recount of a Sandusky school board race that was too close to call on Election Day, declaring Jennifer Ashburn the victor over incumbent board member Jennifer Chapman.
The recount also determined Keith Sexton, who campaigned for a Vermilion Township trustee seat, also held onto his lead to be declared the winner.
Both Ashburn and Sexton were elected to four-year terms that will begin in January.
