TOLEDO — A judge on Friday ordered the State of Ohio to stop hiding the ball.
In a pivotal move late Friday, U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary signaled that the era of state-sponsored secrecy regarding the disappearance and death of Amanda Dean is coming to a close. By brushing aside the Ohio Attorney General’s reliance on “Confidential Law Enforcement Investigatory Records” (CLEIR) exceptions, the Court has effectively stripped the State of its favorite shield.
