Kaptur promises to help reschedule Social Security forum
Injuries from accident complicate campaign
SANDUSKY — The campaign for U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur has addressed the recent postponement of a senior-focused public forum in Sandusky, offering insight into the Congresswoman’s campaign trail availability and ongoing physical rehabilitation.
In a statement provided by her office, representatives for Kaptur that she had not pulled out of the scheduled engagement with Serving Our Seniors, but had offered to join the audience virtually before event organizers ultimately opted to reschedule.
“Congresswoman Kaptur did not opt out, and was open to attending virtually, but the organizers decided the event could not go on as planned. The Congresswoman and our office would be happy to join Serving Our Seniors for an event this fall in Sandusky, and are already working with them on a plan. She continues to recover and improve rapidly through physical therapy, and looks forward to returning to Washington when the House returns to business.”
