Lorain County law enforcement dealing with deadly ambush

Two officers remain in critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland

LORAIN — A former Perkins Township police officer was one of three Lorain police officers shot on Wednesday when they were ambushed by a lone gunman at lunchtime.

Pete Gale, 51, now a Lorain police officer, suffered an injury to his hand. Injuries to two other Lorain police officers the gunman caused are for morse serious.
