'Machette man' arrested after standoff in Huron remains jailed
Held weapon to his mother's throat; bit brother repeatedly before they escaped apartment and ran to police station
HURON — Sometimes, you don’t call 911. Sometimes, you just run.
On Tuesday night, Cara Paulsen and her son, Jacob Stewart, didn’t have a choice. With their phones snatched away and a “machete” held to Cara’s throat, the pair fled their Cleveland Road West apartment and ran straight into the lobby of the Huron Police Department.
