Make a reservation for Sunset Bay cruise aboard Goodtime I
September 25, Jackson Street Pier
SANDUSKY — It’s an opportunity to see Sandusky Bay from the water at sunset.
Here’s how the Erie County Historical Society describes the Walk in the Water Sunset Cruise: “The light hits the skyline, Cedar Point glows in the distance, and Johnson’s Island seems to float on history.”
On Thursday, September 25, the Goodtime I boards for the second Walk in the Water cruise — part history, part storytelling, and part pure fun.
“This isn’t just a boat ride. It’s a chance to hear our bay’s story told by people who know it best — from Cedar Point’s roots, to Johnson’s Island’s Civil War prison, to the ever-changing Sandusky waterfront,” a brochure from the society states.
There will be a cash bar on board, food trucks at the dock and prize drawings.
Tickets start at just $20 for members (or $35 for two), with non-member options available too. Honestly, it’s the perfect excuse to grab a friend, join up, and see the bay in a whole new way.
✨ A September sunset.
✨ Local history on the water.
✨ A community gathering with stories worth remembering.
