MARION — A 41-year-old Bucyrus man was killed Thursday morning after the tractor-trailer he was driving struck three parked vehicles, veered off the road, and plowed into two utility poles and a house before overturning, state troopers reported.
The fatal four-vehicle collision occurred around 10:40 a.m. along South State Street near Gurley Avenue in Marion.

According to a preliminary investigation by the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol,
Thomas A. Brown was operating a northbound 2016 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck when the vehicle struck a 2023 Jeep Cherokee, a 2012 Dodge Caravan, and a 2006 BMW 520, all parked unoccupied along the east side of South State Street.
Following the initial impact, the tractor-trailer traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment, two utility poles, and a residential house before rolling over onto its side.
Troopers confirmed that Brown succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Emergency crews and municipal teams spent hours securing the scene, managing damaged utility infrastructure, and clearing the wreckage. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
