GROTON TWP. βΒ The man who died Monday after a one-vehicle accident on Knauss Road is Robin Innes, a Huron Township resident who was a longtime spokesman for Cedar Point and Cedar Fair prior to his retirement.
Authorities believe Innes, 72, suffered a sudden medical emergency while behind the wheel, causing him to drive off the road several hundred yards into a farm field before landing in a ditch.
Emergency responders were aided by the vehicleβs OnStar system, which sent an accident alert via 9-1-1 to the county dispatch center and provided the coordinates to where Innesβ vehicle was located.
