RICE TWP. — A Vermilion man lost control of the motorcycle he was operating late Saturday and slammed into a ditch off State Route 19 at County Road 127, according to the State Highway Patrol.
Gavin B. McGlaughlin was southbound on Route 19 on a 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King just before 10 p.m. Investigators say McGlaughlin, who was not wearing a helmet, died from the injuries he sustained after the bike overturned onto him in the ditch.
