Weโll be looking for you; look for us.
Stay Tuned Sandusky will be at the campaign rally in Cleveland for U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and Ohio governorโs candidate Amy Acton starting at 10 a.m. Ms. Tondra K. Frisby, late of the city employment gig, will join me interviewing people at the rally.
Former President Barack Obama is expected sometime after noon; the rally is scheduled from 1-4 p.m. We have asked to interview President Obama, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and Amy Acton, the Democrat Party nominee for governor. Weโll also be looking for you, however, and promise, You Canโt Say That.
The new limited podcast series debuts with this trip to Cleveland. Frisby, who has raised concerns about systemic discrimination and how it affected her as a Sandusky city employee, and how it impacts the Black community, is co-producer and co-moderator.
The city is not the only employer with systemic issues in the workplace, according to experts, and the stress it creates for minority workers has wide-ranging impacts on mental health, job, family and financial issues for families.
And generally, it isnโt something that people who experience it talk about, openly. They are not given the space to have dialogue. Any suggestion there might be concerns, or an issue, are often met with a strong denial, hurt feelings and a decision not to talk about it.
Itโs to all about race; itโs about any topics that get stifled.
But on Saturday, weโll be focussed on the rally, the rally-goers, and you. Look for us; weโll look for you. In the meantime, tell us in the comments section what You Canโt Talk About and letโs talk. lives.
