HURON — City police Chief Terry Graham received a report from a caseworker with Children’s Services on April 18, 2025, alleging that his School Resource Officer (SRO) had been accused of improperly interacting with a student.
The allegation came from Ashli Ford, a waitress turned podcaster with a history of making false allegations against cops, prosecutors, journalists, and others. Because it came from Ford, the allegations were suspect from the start, making for an extremely difficult path in getting anyone to investigate.
The Primary Source: This story was developed using the Spangler report (Huron PD Int Inv 25 01 Inv Rpt), which was released by the city of Huron on Friday (Feb. 6). To see the full context and verbatim transcripts access the full 67-page document below.

Under duress
As she was preparing for her own criminal trial last year, Ford claimed she was asked to be an advocate for an alleged victim who had evidence that SRO (name redacted) improperly interacted with a student. Later she said she was representing several victims making claims, but Ford failed to substantiate any thing she said. She failed to provide one name, one contact or anything after being repeatedly asked for her help.
She blamed police; they weren’t “honorable,” Ford claimed.
