SANDUSKY — The air quality is keeping folks indoors, and tonight it’s going to keep them away from the Jackson Street Pier.
The city and the Greater Sandusky Partnership made the decision at about noon today to cancel the scheduled Party at the Pier concert due to the air quality from the wildfires.
The showing of Tommy Boy is canceled as well.
“The rest of the events this weekend, including IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio, are still planned to go on as scheduled, but we are monitoring the situation,” the announcement from the city states. “We are hopeful the worst of the smoke will blow out by the weekend. We will communicate any changes. “
