HURON TWP. — For Larry Oldaker and his wife Kalynn, both 67, their home on Cleveland Road West (Route 6) was supposed to be their sanctuary. They bought the house in 2016 and lovingly renovated it. Now, the state plans to widen the road, add a 12-foot multi-use bike path that will end up being about 15 feet from their front door.
Charlotte Cen said, “Honestly with how Six Flags is handling Cedar Point it might be for nothing …that’s dangerous. Step out to get the mail and get (run over).”
Rieko Brown said, “Greedy (people) took his whole yard. He can’t step out the door and fall cause he gone be in the street.”

Doree Ryan said, “What if you can’t afford a lawyer? They shouldn’t have to take the hardship to stop the ODOT from taking over .
Patty Ann Pepitone Price said, “That is awful. I guess it doesn’t matter what you work hard to pay for it isn’t yours. It’s totally BS. How is that allowed to happen?”
Marc Fashing said, “Money talks and Cedar Point has plenty of it. That’s the only reason this is even considered.”
Dave Felder said, “Better check your facts. Cedar point has no money… just check their stock… it’s plummeting like nobody’s business.”
Brady Freeman said, “I did a little bit of work out at cedar point when I was working for an outside contractor and they are definitely struggling since merging with six flags. They’re trying to budget and save money anyway they possibly can. They definitely are not doing as well as you think they are that is also the reason they laid off a bunch of workers that had been there for years.”
