I’ve been checking with sources and was assured a plan would emerge to finally finish the Sandusky State Theatre repair and renovation project, but you’re right: it’s been a long time since I wrote about the delay.
Wow, six years. Time Flies, that’s for sure. Tempus Fugit. The storm happened in June 2020. The last time I reported about the Sandusky State Theatre was in March. Progress was being made, according to Colleen Shay Murray, the board chair appointed after the project stalled out. Shay Murray has been a careful, thoughtful spokesman for the board who has skillfully maneuvered the legal pitfalls and PR nightmare screwing up a $24 million project on a beloved community asset creates.
A doozie of screwup.
