SANDUSKY — Republicans on Monday picked Erie County Treasurer Caleb Stidham to replace state Rep. D.J. Swearingen on the November ballot in the 89th House District race.
Stidham has been treasurer since 2021 and was an intern for former 89th House District Rep. Steve Arndt in 2018-2019. He’s also chair of the Erie County Republican Party and has been an ambassador of sorts between local leaders and lawmakers in Columbus for years.
