SANDUSKY — The Sandusky Speedway sold at auction Saturday, but details about the purchase have not been released.
“Yes it’s a done deal. I can’t say anything else about it today,” Kevin Jaycox, owner of the storied Speedway said Sunday in a bittersweet post at social media. “This is a very emotional time for my family and my staff and friends.”
Jaycox, who served as track manager, said he would not have further comment on the sale. In an emotional interview earlier last week, he suggested waning interest in the sport, operating funds and staffing were some of the considerations that led to his decision to sell the property
