Sandusky's public works director, Aaron Klein, tells city he's stepping down
Shakes up City Hall
SANDUSKY — The city’s engineer, Aaron Klein, informed city officials earlier this week that he resigning his position effective next month.
“He has served the Sandusky community for 12½ years,” city manager John Orzech wrote in a message to city commissioners. “I am very disappointed to be losing such a key member of our team with vast knowledge and experience.”
Klein did not disclose whether he’s accepted a different position, or detail what led to his decision.
As public works director for the city, Klein was responsible for overseeing the design, construction, operation and maintenance of streets, traffic, sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater treatment and water supply and quality.
Klein will stay on until the end of October, Orzech said.
