State Rep. Click calls abuse allegation a ‘politically motivated’ smear

Police found no victim and nothing credible after receiving complaint against lawmaker

FREMONT — Allegations that he abused a young woman who attended his church years ago are false and politically motivated, state Rep. Gary Click said Thursday.

“Clearly, the allegations against me are not only false but malicious,” Click told StayTunedSandusky.com on Thursday.

Click served the Fremont Community Baptist Temple as its pastor for 19 years, and now serves as its pastor emeritus, after a long-planned transition in February.
