Reader can’t understand why Sheriff Todd Corbin doesn’t have to answer for his failures, or why state AG is withholding the findings of its investigation

NORWALK — A county resident who reads Stay Tuned Sandusky claims sheriff’s deputies stole money and weapons from him when they executed a search warrant a few years ago. He says it’s past time Huron County Sheriff Todd Corbin starts explaining himself.

“Is he continually running unopposed and just being able to be sheriff after all the really questionable, despicable stuff that’s happened?” he asked. “That guy is amazing.”

But state agents and the Ohio Attorney General also, as the legendary TV character Ricky Ricardo would put it, “have some explaining to do.” The state Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), an arm of the AG’s office, investigated the theft of his property and did nothing to hold the deputy who took it accountable.
