SANDUSKY — A long-planned Social Security forum later this month has been rescheduled to late August due to a lack of commitment from Ohio’s two U.S. Senators—Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted.

The Social Security Trust Fund is on track to take in less money than it pays out in benefits as soon as 2032. If Congress fails to act to fix funding formulas Social Security beneficiaries will see substantial, automatic cuts to their monthly incomes. For every $1,000 received today the payments in just 5½ years could be reduced to $700.
