Update: Woman thrown from motorcycle in crash flown to Toledo with serious injuries.
OXFORD TWP. — A Castalia woman was flown by a medical helicopter to a Toledo hospital Sunday after sustaining serious injuries in a motorcycle versus SUV crash at Mason and Patten Tract roads.
There was no condition update for Angela McGraw, 48, from St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, where she was flown after accident at about 4:45 Sunday evening.
McGraw was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Mason Road when an eastbound 2024 Jeep Cherokee on Patten Tract Road, driven by Randy Fifer, 60, of Maumee, made a left turn in front of McGraw, Ohio Patrol Lt. Shaun Robinson told StayTunedSandusky.com.
McGraw, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle when the two vehicles crashed, Robinson said, suffering serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
