Vargo, Krabill are all in on city commission
Hats tossed: They seek support to be mayor, vice mayor
SANDUSKY — City Commissioner Kate Vargo has confirmed she is seeking the position of ex officio mayor, or commission president, when the seven-member body selects its new leadership Jan. 12. Vargo’s plan is paired with a bid by her colleague, Commissioner Jeff Krabill, to serve as vice mayor.
The move marks a coordinated effort by the two commissioners, who both have long-standing experience on the Sandusky School Board, to take the top leadership roles. Vargo, who currently works as a senior sales executive, stated she would take the leadership role if her colleagues were supportive.
