PERKINS TWP. — The November trustee race is shaping up as a political showdown: three candidates, two seats, and one guaranteed loser.

On the ballot: incumbents Tim Coleman and Jim Lang, and challenger Lisa Crescimano, former Perkins Schools treasurer and township fiscal officer.

Crescimano is taking aim at both men, blasting their support for what she calls “the largest giveaway in township history” — a tax abatement agreement with Aligned Data Centers.

Lang and Coleman call that spin.

“Lisa never supported any of the positive economic developments we’ve had in Perkins Township at all,” Coleman told StayTunedSandusky.com. “No mall, Meijer, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, motels or hotels.”
