You don't have to be a millionaire to live at Beachwood Villas?

It helps, but it's not required

HURON — What’s the best thing about owning a condominium at Beachwood Villas?

“That Lake Erie view,” one owner said.

What’s the worst thing?

“The condo fees. The cost of dredging. The cost of dock maintenance, and the recent changes that the condominium board has made,” he said.

Management at the 85-unit lakefront property declined to comment about concerns some residents have raised about monthly fees and a recent merger of building maintenance and marina operations. StayTunedSandusky emailed the condo board a list of questions based on what residents told us, asking about fees, mergers and other association business. The homeowners association responded that it would not be providing any answers since what we requested “is member-only information.”

“Homeowners have had the opportunity to attend meetings on the subjects in your questions as well as have access to the members-only website where all documents that include answers to all your questions are housed,” the board wrote in response to questions we sent.
