Erie County commissioners approve tax cut for seniors

They vote 2-1 to expand Homestead tax credit and add owner occupied credit; could save some property owners $1,000 a year

SANDUSKY — Erie County commissioners voted this morning (Oct. 27) to double the Homestead tax credit for homeowners in the county age 65 and older earning less than $40,000 annually. The also approved an owner occupied credit. The savings for more than 4,000 county residents could exceed $1,000 yearly.
