VANDALIA, Ohio — Republican candidate for Ohio governor Vivek Ramaswamy arrived at the Midterm Rally at about 5 p.m. today, ahead of President Donald J. Trump.
At the gate he stopped to talk with the crowd, and for a moment with StayTunedSandusky.com.
“U.S.A. U.S.A.,” he chanted, as people in line joined him the chorus. “Thank you. We l;ove you and now let’s win this election.”
A moment later, when asked what was the most important message he has for voters and rally attendees, Ramaswamy told StayTunedSandusky this is the greatest county in history.
“Bring down costs. Make your lives better. Defend this country, the greatest nation known to the history of mankind,” he said. (Ramaswamy arrives at the 45-second mark on the vide.)
Thousands of Trump supporters lined up outside Vandalia-Butler High School, snaking three-fold across the parking lot awaiting admission to the 4,500-seat venue. They were patient and happy to be there.
Meanwhile, at the front of the high school hundred of protesters gathered, chanting anti-Trump slogans, considerably more rowdy, more loud and angry.
